| We make tools for genome biology and provide them freely on the Web for use in non-commercial research. Our first project is Fly Enhancer, a search engine designed to find transcription factor binding sites in the Drosophila melanogaster genome. Fly Enhancer went live on the Web on 18 December 2001, and the first results obtained with it are described in PNAS. Plant Enhancer and Worm Enhancer have been online since 2003 but without linked gene anotations. We now have a beta site with gene annotations for D. melanogaster (Release 3), C. elegans, and A. thaliana at MultiOrganism Enhancer. If you use or are interested in any of our genomics services, please consider joining our public mailing list. We'll post announcements on new developments to the software, and we look forward to hearing your ideas and suggestions for making it better. Our most current project is MERmaid. MERmaid is a program that enables you to find novel motifs (or n-MERS) repeated within a DNA sequence or shared among a set of sequences. MERmaid is currently available for download and can be run using Mac OS X Terminal. You can download: MERmaid, Example, and Instructions. Please join our public mailing list. to receive an update as soon as we make MERmaid available through a web interface. | |||||||||||||||||||
